The Junior Euromat 2018 conference will publish scientific papers for participants in some different scientific journals. Participation in the proceedings is optional. If you would like to submit your manuscript for consideration, please follow the AUTHOR GUIDELINES for each journal.

After logging in to the homepage of the journal you find the most relevant for your manuscript, you have to select the „special issue" or "FEMS Junior Euromat 2018 selected papers".

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING YOUR MANUSCRIPT IS JULY 1, 2018. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed. Once you receive the results of your review, and if edits are required, you will have 3 weeks to correct and submit a revised manuscript. Each accepted publication will also be available on SCOPUS and will be assigned a DOI.
Tribology – Materials, Surfaces & Interfaces

Tribology – Materials, Surfaces & Interfaces

The journal focuses on tribocorrosion, lubricant additives, surface analysis, bio tribology, nanoscale tribology, surface and coatings technology, lubrication challenges in the boundary and mixed lubrication regimes, manufacturing processes and molecular tribology. This journal is published by Taylor & Francis on behalf of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.

Tribology – Materials, Surfaces & Interfaces to publish research presented at Junior Euromat in a special issue of the journal

Tribology – Materials, Surfaces & Interfaces is an international journal publishing peer-review research on tribology. Areas of focus include:

  • Tribcorrosion
  • Lubricant additives — tribochemistry, tribophysics and tribofilm characterisation
  • Surface analysis — in-situ and ex-situ analysis of tribological processes
  • Biotribology — including biotribocorrosion and processes at biological implant interfaces
  • Nanoscale tribology — understanding surface processes and reactions on the nanoscale
  • Surface and coatings technology — surface and interface engineering to improve tribological performance
  • Lubrication challenges in the boundary and mixed lubrication regimes — environmental legislation, fuel economy and novel additive systems
  • Manufacturing processes — e.g. chemo-mechanical polishing
  • Molecular tribology — understanding molecular arrangement, changes of configuration and functionality at tribological interfaces

Tribology – Materials, Surfaces & Interfaces is indexed in Web of Science’s ESCI and Scopus.
Submissions to the special issue should be extended versions of the conference papers presented at the symposium, and should be prepared according to the journal’s instructions for authors.
To submit to the special issue, please upload your paper to the online submission site at www.edmgr.com/trib and remember to select ‘Junior Euromat 2018’ as the special issue when prompted.
We would appreciate receiving all submissions by 01 July.

Materials Technology

Materials Technology

The journal provides an international medium for the communication of progress in the field of functional materials (advanced materials in which composition, structure and surface are functionalised to confer specific, applications-oriented properties). The focus is on materials for biomedical, electronic, photonic and energy applications. Contributions should address the physical, chemical, or engineering sciences that underpin the design and application of these materials.

Materials Technology: Advanced Performance Materials to publish research presented at Junior Euromat in a special issue of the journal

Materials Technology: Advanced Performance Materials is an international journal for outstanding research in the field of functional materials, specifically, advanced materials in which composition, structure and surface are functionalised to confer specific, applications-oriented properties.
Contributions should address the physical, chemical, or engineering sciences that underpin the design and application of these materials. The scientific and engineering aspects may include processing and structural characterisation from the micro- to nanoscale to achieve specific functionality.
The Editor welcomes experimental, theoretical, and review papers on biological response, biosensing, electronic, magnetic, and optical properties of materials in bulk, thin film, nanotube/nanofibre or particulate form. Research articles that focus on integrating basic and applied research on nanostructured aspects of materials are also within the scope of the journal.
The main journal covers advanced materials across a broad spectrum, while two subsections are intended to focus specifically on 1) advanced functional materials, and 2) advanced biomaterials.
Materials Technology: Advanced Performance Materialsis indexed in Web of Science’s SCI and Scopus.
Submissions to the special issue should be extended versions of the conference papers presented at the symposium, and should be prepared according to the journal’s instructions for authors.
To submit to the special issue, please upload your paper to the online submission site at www.edmgr.com/mte and remember to select ‘Junior Euromat 2018’ as the special issue when prompted.
